This course will teach you how to memorize the calendar. The word memorize here means that by learning to do some simple arithmetic, which you can probably do in your head, you will be able to tell the day of the week that any date on the modern calendar falls on.
There are clear explanations of each of the steps involved, with additional, optional reading for those who want greater understanding of related and underlying principles.
It will take some practice to be able to find the weekday for a date very quickly and easily. The explanation includes a multi-colored visual mnemonic to help in remembering. There are 6 interactive practice pages, where you can practice as much as you want each of the steps in isolation and in combination with some or all of the other steps. There are a total of 18 pages of information. These include 3 shortcut techniques that can often be used to make calculation of the weekday much simpler and faster.
After working through the pages that describe how to memorize the calendar, and upon practicing using the practice quizzes, you should be able to tell the day of the week for any date this year or 5-10 years in the past or future in about 5-10 seconds. You should be able to tell the weekday for any date on the calendar, from the beginning of the modern calendar almost 500 years ago until tens of thousands of years in the future, in about 10-30 seconds.
